How much homework should be given on a daily basis to reinforce the material learned?

Throughout this unit, you have learned about effective lesson planning. However, learning should not stop once students leave your class. How much homework should be given on a daily basis to reinforce the material learned? Does homework help or hinder students’ passion for school? Explain.

CLASSMATE’S DISCUSSION
I think that is a decision for each teacher to decide, different concepts might require different amounts of homework.  I think that homework used the correct way has no impact on a student’s passion for school.  It is when it is abused or teachers give meaningless assignment that a student’s passion for school can be affected.  I have come to realize that more and more students do not do their homework, or copy from social media things like snapchat.  So I only use homework as a small evaluation tool. To judge comprehension and the majority of my class is based on labs, lab write ups and other forms of formal and informal assessment.
