– Make sure you have an intro. paragraph that introduces the topic you are writing about.
– Discuss research on the topic using reputable publications (academic and unbiased articles). Make sure you include information from the articles. There should be a minimum of 2 articles.
– Interview 3 people on the topic – find out what they know and how they feel about it. Summarize or incorporate important quotes from what they said. Include background information about the people that will tell us a little bit about them and why they feel the way they do (age, sexuality, gender, religiosity, culture, upbringing…). Make sure you reflect on and react to what your interviewees said.
– Write up a paper that discusses all sides of the issue. Include information from both your research and your interviews.
– The last paragraph should be a reflection paragraph – this is where you can put your own opinion and what you have learned from researching the topic and interviewing people.
– Double-spaced, roughly 3-4 pages.
– Make sure you write your paper well – free of spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. Use paragraphs to separate your ideas.
