In Chapter 12 and Chapter 13 in Learning in Adulthood, you were introduced to a variety of theories of adult development and adult cognitive development. Which theory do you resonate best with? Identify the theory, provide a brief description of the theory, and use one example from your own experience to illustrate the key points of the theory. For example, if you would like to discuss the contextual perspective of cognitive development, I expect to read an example about how “social, cultural, economic, and political forces shape the development of adult thinking” (Merriam & Baumgartner, p. 359).
