In this assignment, you will write a paper about death investigations. Death investigations are difficult to conduct because there is a fine line between what constitutes a homicide and a suicide. The investigator needs to examine the evidence at the crime scene carefully. The final determination of a homicide or suicide is made by the medical examiner after the autopsy. They determine the cause and manner of death and the estimated time of death.
Compare and contrast the causes and manners of death by devising a list of their main differences.
Describe the different mortis levels and what they tell about the estimated time of death.
Formulate a strategy for what other forensic methods can be used to determine the time of death.
Your report must meet the following requirements:
2-3 pages in length, not including the cover page and reference page.
