Answer the question thoroughly. For your guidance, I enjoyed the class and everything about it although it was time consuming and difficult. Also, my professor was very helpful when answering my questions and got back to me in a timely manner.
Instructions:
For the final article, I want you to answer a few questions. I have put a lot of work into the course, and I am always looking to improve it. I need explanations – you can’t just say “Yes, lecture was an improvement”. You need to tell me why. Honesty will not be held against you as long as you put the required effort into the responses.
1) What did you think about the way the course was laid out? Were deadlines and instructions clear and easy to find? Was I communicative enough? Were the notes laid out in a way that made sense and had an appropriate “flow” to them? How did the notes compare to other courses you have taken?
2) How was lecture? Was it more interesting and engaging than you are used to? If you have had me in the past, was it an improvement over my previous course? If you haven’t had me in the past, how does it compare to other lectures you have had in the past? What “worked” for you about lecture, and what do you think needs improvement?
3) A&P is a tough course to take online, especially over a short semester. Given the limitations of the online learning environment, do you think you received adequate instruction and guidance this semester? What could I have done to improve your learning and your ability to recall information? Is there anything I could have done to make it feel more like an “on-campus” course?
4) This course is difficult, not to make your life more complicated but to hopefully prepare you for future higher-level medical or science courses. My goal is to have you leave the course with not only the knowledge of the material to succeed in those (more difficult) classes but also personal knowledge of how much is going to be expected of you by those professors.
Have I succeeded? Do you think it will be helpful later on when you are taking harder courses to have taken a class that holds you to very high standards?
If you are attending a junior college, do you think you are better prepared for a university now than you were before you took this course?
If you are attending university, do you think this course prepared you for higher-level courses?
Are you happy you took my course?
5) Is there anything else you have to say to me about the course – good or bad? All feedback is appreciated, and if my questions missed something you feel is important definitely let me know.
