[Solution]Cyclops (Polyphemus), Aolios, Circe, his mother (Anticleia), Achilles, Sirens, Scylla, Calypso?

Odysseus’ character traits shine through in his encounters with the various characters throughout Homer’s Odyssey. His intelligence, strength of will, loyalty and cunning are all evident in his dealings with Cyclops (Polyphemus), Aolios, Circe, his mother Anticleia, Achilles, Sirens, Scylla, and Calypso.

What do we learn about Odysseus’s character—good and/or bad—from his encounter with one or two of the following: Cyclops (Polyphemus), Aolios, Circe, his mother (Anticleia), Achilles, Sirens, Scylla, Calypso?

When Odysseus meets Polyphemus the Cyclops he demonstrates both cunning and bravery. He devises a clever plan to outwit the giant by getting him drunk so that he can escape. He is then brave enough to go back into the cave when everyone else refuses too. His courage is further demonstrated when he tells Polyphemus his name is “Nobody” knowing full well what could happen if the giant discovers it was really him who had escaped from him earlier. It also shows how loyal he is to his men by taking them into what appears to be certain death rather than leaving them behind at sea while he escapes alone as some of them suggest should happen.

In contrast to this display of courage and loyalty however we see another side of Odysseus when dealing with Aolios when they arrive on Ithaca but cannot enter port due to Poseidon’s curse on Odysseus for having blinded Polyphemus earlier in their journey. Here we see Odysseus beg for help from Aolios despite being warned not to tell anyone who he really was or why they were there as this would draw unwanted attention from Poseidon which might lead even more disaster upon them than what they faced already from his wrathful punishment for blinding one of Poseidon’s children (the cyclops). This shows us that although Odysseus values loyalty and may sometimes be brave enough to face danger head-on if necessary; ultimately self-preservation comes first in most cases – something which becomes clearer still later on during their encounter with Circe where again we see great lengths taken by him just so that himself and crew may have a chance at survival despite being instructed against it by Hermes beforehand.

We also learn much about Odysseuss’ character through his interactions with Anticleia (his mother) while returning home disguised after many years away at war followed by an adventure-filled mission home trying desperately not become lost again within unfamiliar waters far away from Ithaca itself where she was waiting patiently for her son hoping each day that maybe today would be the day he finally returns home only finding herself disappointed time & time again until finally here son reunites with her using every last ounce of willpower left within him just so that he may lay eyes upon hers once more before departing suddenly yet again – this time truly homeward bound without any delaying distractions like those encountered before along The Odyssey’s path.. We learn much about how devoted & sincere a man she raised during these brief moments together seeing how quickly tears come flooding down both their cheeks knowing full well how little time left each other has before saying goodbye once more – perhaps forever this time around who knows? It speaks volumes about how strong family ties can remain even under such dire circumstances & proves yet another example why so many legends exist surrounding this legendary king showing us just why countless epic tales tell stories involving no one else other than King Odyssues himself proving beyond reasonable doubt all feats accomplished thus far hold true regardless of incredible odds stacked firmly against our hero alike all joyous victories coming right alongside bitter defeats suffered gloriously throughout life’s ever-changing tides!

Finally perhaps most telling sign demonstrating exactly whom King Odyssues truly stands morally speaking throughout Homer’s timeless classic lies none other than within final exchange between Calypso herself prior departure after lengthy stay upon her enchanted island – her simply asking protagonist put bluntly “do you love me” immediately met response fit perfectly within context displaying everything required know regarding primary focus belong solely towards beloved Penelope back home awaiting long overdue return husband faithfully ready able continue loving relationship started shared long ago!
