Many people argue that illegal immigration not only hurts the American economy but also brings significantly more crime. To many Americans, immigrants are the root cause of chaos in the country. However, many people have also recognized the benefits that immigrants have brought to America. Oliver Anderson, the author of Illegal Immigration: Causes, Methods and Effects: and Ron Unz, the author of “Immigration or the Welfare State”: agree that America would not be America without illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is not a harm to American society because immigrants boost US economic growth,
First, provide a diverse environment in the American workplace. For example, in 2017, 66 percent of students attended schools in diversified districts. Unz states that “…America absorbed and assimilated tens of millions of foreign immigrants of every language, religion, and ethnicity” in earlier waves of immigration. Furthermore, immigrants have proven to provide a more diverse environment. As a result of diversifying conditions in America, more people will assimilate into other cultures. While some people linger on the time when foreign-born people were not in America, immigrants will continue to diversify America.”
