Home English [Solution]Compare and contrast three poets, Charles Baudelaire, Samuel Coleridge, Edgar Allan

Charles Baudelaire, Samuel Coleridge, and Edgar Allan Poe were three of the most influential poets of their time. From dark romanticism to symbolism, these three men pushed the boundaries of poetic expression in different ways. Despite the fact that they lived in different eras and wrote in various styles, each poet had a unique perspective on beauty, mortality and morality that influenced many generations to come.

Compare and contrast three poets, Charles Baudelaire, Samuel Coleridge, Edgar Allan

One major difference between Charles Baudelaire and his contemporaries was his focus on urban settings as opposed to rural ones. His poetry often explored Paris from a cynical perspective; he rejected traditional values in favor of exploring the everyday experiences of an individual living in an industrialized city like Paris. By contrast, Samuel Coleridge’s writing focused more on nature imagery and its relation to moral themes than did other Romantic writers. His works such as “Kubla Khan” explore how humans interact with nature through imagination which is something quite uncommon for his era where writers tended to stick closer to tradition beliefs about human-nature relationships.

Edgar Allan Poe’s work generally has been considered darker than both Baudelaire’s or Coleridge’s due to its focus on horror and death themes such as his famous poem “The Raven.” He often explored notions of mortality while also discussing topics like love and sadness within the same context making it hard for readers to distinguish what things are truly evil or not since they can often be seen as two sides of one coin with him. Consequently this makes Poe’s work much harder to interpret compared to Baudelaire’s or Coleridge’s who tend stick more closely pre-existing traditions when it comes down storytelling devices even though their content might still challenge existing conventions at times too but not necessarily at all times like with Edgar Allen Poe whose work frequently does so more consistently throughout all of his works thereby giving them a more distinctively darker feel overall no matter if readers interpret them positively or negatively given how full depths those stories can reach into if one spends enough time thinking about them deeply enough unlike either Baudelaire nor Coleridges works which lack that depth when compared side by side since neither ever really reaches into similar territory fully like Poe usually does making him stand out amongst all three poets despite having some similarities here there every once awhile between him versus either one but never really being able replicate exactly what made that particular writer special themselves regardless overall amounting up ultimately being far less successful tries whenever wanting attempt doing so then what would be expected out any kind professional artist trying make name themselves within same genre collectively sharing several common elements together despite attempting differentiate themselves viewers/readers eyes through range techniques available go around employing couple select few create unique style own unlike any others before ever experienced prior said effortful attempts being made continuously essentially advance art form continually pushing boundaries further farther back each passing day until new heights eventually reached later point later now know today enabling us enjoy results lives without even aware processes went behind scenes order finished product came beautifully preserved packages ready opened enjoyed publicly shared interpretations discussed widely wherever please without further ado…
