When I first came across the old man with enormous wings in the story, my reaction was one of surprise and fascination.  I could not believe what I was seeing before me, a creature that had wings sprouting from his back. He seemed to have come out of nowhere, and yet he was here and living among us humans.

The old man’s presence immediately brought up many questions in my mind: where did he come from? What is his purpose here? How long has he been around for? All these thoughts raced through my head as I stared at him in awe.

As I observed the old man, it became evident to me that he had experienced much hardship throughout his life; his body was worn out by age and his clothing tattered beyond recognition. Despite this, there was something special about him – an aura of kindheartedness that seemed to radiate off of him even though he hadn’t said a single word yet. It made me feel sympathetic towards him despite not knowing who or what he really was.

At the same time though, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of fear when looking at him since there were no answers to answer any of my questions about origin or purpose. In all honesty, it felt like this old man with enormous wings could be some sort of supernatural being or god-like creature sent down to judge us humans for our wrong doings on earth – which left me feeling very uneasy in its wake!

Finally, after much contemplation on both sides (mine and the villagers’), everyone decided that they should take care of this intelligent being since nobody wanted such an elderly figure living alone in their neighbourhood without any protection or support whatsoever . Thus began the process by which we helped this unknown stranger find refuge among us humans – giving him food whenever needed while also making sure that no harm would be done unto him during these trying times. Although we still didn’t know exactly who this individual was or why he had come into our lives , we knew deep down inside ourselves that we must do whatever possible to protect somebody so defenceless as himself .

Overall, my reaction towards the old man with enormous wings can best be described as one filled with curiosity tinged with a bit apprehension due to uncertainty regarding his identity/origin and motives However , above all else , empathy stands out as the most important emotion behind it all for me personally .
